About KBF

The MonasteryFarmFestival is a week of encounters and inspiration to experience the monastic rhythm with prayer, silence and practical work. There is a lot of time and room for enrichment and exchange throughout workshops and reading about themes like sustainability, social justice, peacework, community life and spirituality. And in the evening we’ll have nice food, music and bonfires!

Praying

Like monks in the monastery we take time 3 times a day to look for peace and meeting with God.

Reflecting

Looking for answers to challenges that come with our culture. Thinking together, searching and inspiring each other. Looking for inspiration in Jesus’ words.

Working

Doing practical (farm)work, working for our own food, being with our hands in the soil..

Celebrating

Having a good time, dancing, creativity, music, bonfire

Who

People who are looking for a combination of sustainability, faith and justice. Idealists, silence lovers, anyone who wants to have nice encounters with enthusiastic people. In recent years, the age was between 20 and 40, with a few outliers above 70 and a number of children. Feel free to take children with you! Great if they can participate. In recent years, activities spontaneously arose among parents. (there is no separate children's program arranged).

Language

The main language will be Dutch, but translation to English can be provided

Prijzen

Wat leuk dat je naar het KBF wilt komen! Het liefst zien we je natuurlijk de hele week. Kies dus voor het weekkaartje!

De prijzen zijn hoger t.o.v. vorig jaar. Hogere kosten zijn helaas onvermijdelijk. Tegelijkertijd streven we er naar het festival voor iedereen toegankelijk te houden. Er komt een optie om gebruik te maken van korting, we hopen dan ook dat hier gebruik van wordt gemaakt.

We doen ons best om de prijs van het festival laag te houden, donaties zijn daarom van harte welkom. We gebruiken dit geld om het festival ook voor mensen met een kleiner budget toegankelijk te maken. Het KBF maakt geen winst.
